The Baltic Sea region records a high number of cross-border tourism projects. In many cases, these projects run independently of one another, with project partners apparently working on the same subjects without being aware of each other. An improved exchange, coordination and dissemination of projects will result in better outputs, reveal synergies and avoid parallel structures.
The BSTC develops a radar function to obtain an overview on relevant projects by collecting and making better use of the results of initiatives achieved in the Baltic Sea region. It supports projects and develops expertise in running projects with regular updates on new initiatives. Moreover, close cooperation with European Territorial Programmes and further funding instruments for cross-border cooperation in the BSR will lead to a better exchange among projects and actors.
